NEW ALPHABET BOARDS FOR KIDS
June 10, 2009 |
Since it is an important tool in introducing children into the world of speech, learning the alphabets should be made a fun and memorable experience for them.
With this in mind, City Mayor Coefredo T. Uy donated new alphabet boards first and second grade classrooms as he took part in the 2009 Brigada Eskwela organized by the Department of Education to prepare classrooms for the opening of school.
The said alphabet boards were given last June 6 and 7 to at least sixty (60) classrooms housing first and second grade pupils from seven (7) schools. These schools were the district schools 1 to 5, Guinsorongan Integrated School, San Andres Elementary School and BLISS Elementary School.
Made of plastic, the new alphabet boards are expected to be more durable than the cardboard-made flash cards previously used by most classrooms.
