The critically acclaimed documentary film "Inconvenient Truth" was shown at the City Plaza at 10:00 pm as the last activity for the opening Charter Day anniversary.


Although the said film was shown at the closing of the first day, it served as a fitting introduction to the Environment and Livelihood Week that will start the next day, June 2.


The film clinched the award for Best Documentary Film during the 2007 Oscars for its timely discussion of the issue on climate change.


One of the film's crowd-drawing factors was that it was based on the series of university lectures conducted by former US Vice President Al Gore regarding the said issue.
