The Charter Day celebration kicked off yesterday, June 1 with a solemn mass held at the City Plaza at 7:00 in the morning.


This was followed with a motorcade with different line agencies, civic organizations in participation. Afterwards, a short program was held at the City Plaza to formally launch the beginning of the Charter Day celebration which is to run for 16 days.


Catbalogan City Mayor Coefredo "Tekwa" Uy gave a welcome message that was witnessed by city officials who graced the affair. Adding color to the occasion are the ceremonial balloon send-off and fireworks display.
